The steel is ladle treated to reduce sulfur content below 0.010%. - Longitudinal Joints: Staggered to avoid crossing at circumferential seams, weld seams internal to shell is ground flush. - End Plates: 100mm welded adjacent to shell, ultrasonic tested to BS 5996 1980 GR B4E. - Finish: Inside shell lined with 450 micron layer of dual epoxy paint. Outside feed/discharge end diaphragms lined with 6mm rubber. - Other Features: No manhole opening due to large inlet/outlet openings providing easy access to inside shell.
